During a long period I have built up a collection of Chinese paint materials: minerals and ‘traditional’ paint sold today. Collecting this kind of raw materials and comparing this with samples of ‘old paint’ in a reference collection greatly contributes to the understanding of the technical aspects of Chinese paint.
